Egyptian Parliament Refers Human Rights Council Law Amendment to Committees

The Egyptian House of Representatives has officially referred a proposed draft law amending Law No. 94 of 2003 regarding the National Council for Human Rights to its specialized parliamentary committees for detailed review.

The parliamentary referral took place during the assembly's first legislative session under the chairmanship of House Speaker Counselor Hisham Badawi.

Following the referral, the specialized committees will examine the draft amendments concerning the council's regulatory framework before submitting their findings and reports to the main parliamentary floor.
