Corrections policy

How InstaBriefs reviews and corrects errors, and how to request a correction or removal.

We correct errors openly

If a story contains an error of fact, name, date or legal status, we correct it as soon as we can. We never change a source's original publication date to make a story look newer.

What we check

We compare the request against the original source listed under Sources and any relevant official record. If the error is in the source itself, we say so, or withdraw the story if it is no longer reliable.

Removal and privacy

We may remove or hide a story that contains private or sensitive information with no public interest, or unproven allegations. Choose "Privacy / removal" in the contact form and include the page link.

Legal status

An accused person is not convicted. If a case changes (for example dismissal or acquittal), send us the official record and we will update or remove the story.

How to request a correction

Use the contact form, choose "Correction", include the InstaBriefs story link, and say what is wrong and what source supports the fix. Requests are reviewed by hand; we do not promise a fixed response time.
